The project
A television wall built for the camera
This Nike installation brought together 50 retro televisions to create a high-impact display for a Nike football commercial, shot in Dublin, Ireland. The varied screen sizes and authentic vintage-style cabinets gave the stack its distinctive shape, and the screens played retro animated graphics so the wall came alive on camera.
Commissioned directly by Nike, the stack worked as both a set piece and a backdrop for filming, reading clearly from wide angles and close range. We removed some screens so a telescopic camera could travel into the TV, creating a great visual effect. The full installation was built in around 3 hours, keeping the shoot on schedule.
Our service can include television supply, layout planning, delivery, installation, content setup and de-rig. Stack sizes range from a single retro TV to walls of about 70 screens for commercial shoots, events and installations across the UK, Ireland and Europe.
